Chinese Water Eggs are low-key the best thing ever!
Make Chinese Water Eggs with Me
My favorite breakfast, lunch, or dinner! (And I might be biased, but this is the best way to make eggs.) They’re hydrating, nutrient-packed, and so easy to prepare.
Ingredients:
• 2 eggs
• Equal parts water (roughly 200ml)
• 1 tsp @nutraorganics chicken bone broth (optional)
• Dash of tamari or soy sauce
Instructions:
1. Dissolve the bone broth in a small amount of hot water, then mix well.
2. Add cold water, eggs, and tamari to the mixture. Whisk until combined.
3. Strain the mixture into a heatproof bowl.
4. Cook on the stove using a double boiler setup: place the bowl over simmering water in a pot. Ensure the bowl is covered with a lid and the pot is also covered.
5. Steam for about 15 minutes, or until the eggs have a silken tofu-like texture.
6. Remove from heat, and add your favourite toppings. I love tamari, black sesame oil, and spring onions.
Cut, serve, and enjoy!
